Digital Processes at Q‑Agro
Digitalization for efficient workflows and reliable traceability
Q‑Agro is an internationally active seed company. Our core business is the development, sourcing, and marketing of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds.
Digital systems help us organize the related processes efficiently, transparently, and reliably. For us, digitalization is not an end in itself, but a tool to continuously improve the quality of our work and the service we provide to our customers.
Traceability of seeds and batches
Reliable batch management plays a central role in the seed business. For this reason, we digitally record and manage important information relating to our seed lots.
This includes, among other things, origin and supplier lot information, as well as quality characteristics such as germination and purity. Additional batch-related data can also be clearly assigned to the respective seed lot and traced throughout the different process steps.
In this way, digital processes support traceability from goods receipt and storage through order processing to delivery to our customers.
Digital quality control
Quality is essential in the seed business. Results from germination and purity tests are systematically assigned to the respective batches and documented accordingly.
The digital management of these quality data makes it easier to monitor test results and testing dates and ensures that the necessary information is quickly available during customer order processing.
ERP, warehouse, and logistics processes
Our ERP system links item, batch, warehouse, customer, and order information. This allows many work steps to be handled in a structured and traceable manner.
Digital processes support us, among other things, in warehouse management, picking, creation of seed labels, as well as delivery and export documents.
Especially with a broad product range and international deliveries, this helps us manage information consistently and reduce potential errors.
Information for our customers
The provision of product and variety information is also increasingly supported by digital processes. Our goal is to provide our customers with up-to-date and well-structured information about our seed portfolio and to process inquiries efficiently.
In doing so, we combine modern digital workflows with the long seed tradition of our Quedlinburg location.
Seeds remain our core business
At Q‑Agro, digital technologies are tools that support our internal business processes. The focus of our work remains on seeds, varieties, quality, and cooperation with our customers and international partners.
In this way, we combine the tradition of the seed industry with efficient and contemporary business processes.
